Since their beginnings in January 2005, Tahuna Breaks have always been a band built upon a simple philosophy- the love of music. With an open mind and an adventurous spirit, unafraid to mix genres and musical stylings- their ‘anything goes’ and sometimes unconventional approach is governed only by two criteria: passion and energy.

In the two years since the release of their last album ‘Reflections’, the laid-back party starters from New Zealand have been busy touring, writing and recording. The 8-piece band are pleased to announce that their new tunes are ready for public ears by way of their new album.

“Black Brown and White” was recorded in December 08 with the infamous Dr Lee Preeble at the Surgery Studio in Wellington and features 13-tracks in true Tahuna Breaks style – a diverse mix of soul, funk, blues, roots & reggae.

The lifeblood of this band is live performance and it is from countless live gigs and tours that they have crafted their own brand of roots reggae, funk, soul and good old fashioned rock and roll!

Take a little bit of folk, a little bit of hip hop and a whole lot of soul and you have The Very Good Agency’s newest artist nRt. Moving to the east coast of Australia in 2007 from New Zealand’s Christchurch, his unmistakable sound is the product of seven years of dedication and experimentation. Following in the footsteps of no-one, nRt has solidified his place in New Zealand music as someone, and it is this individuality and strength of both his sound and message that is set to win over Australia.

Very Good is proud in 2007 to introduce… nRt

NZ Hip Hop & Reggae Pioneer Che-Fu will cross the ditch for his first East Coast Australian tour June 21st – 24th.

With the recent popularity of New Zealand Hip Hop & Reggae artists on the Australasian music scene & throughout the world, the east coast of Australia will get their first chance to see where it all began.

Che will play:

Cesars Brisbane June 21st

Cooly Hotel Gold Coast June 22nd

Great Northern Byron June 23rd

SOLBAR Coolum June 24th

…before continuing his tour into NSW and beyond.

Hitting the NZ music scene as front man for multi-platinum funk rock group “SuperGroove”, it was only a week after breaking up that Che was back at Number 1 with his first single “Chains”. With countless # 1’s & top tens since including “Fade away” & Apra Scroll winning “Misty Frequencies” as well as Multi-platinum albums “2b.s.pacific,& “Navigator”, Che has solidified his place in NZ music history as one of it’s leading male vocalists.

Bringing a unique blend of Hip Hop beats, with Rastafarian reggae influences, it is the soulful vocals that have earned most acclaim and make Che’s sound world class. Along for the tour Che brings fellow “Villajahz”: Mc Hazaduz, DJ Furious, and special guest – former NZ DMC Champion CXL, beautifully filling the shoes of P-Money since pursuing his own solo career.
